Roqia Muradi-The Journey to Education
I am Roqia. I am 11 years old. I live in Bamyan province, Sar Asiyab village. I am in class 4 at school. We are twelve in our family, and my aunts also live with us. My school is so far and it’s so difficult for me to go there. In our society, the economic situation isn’t good and most people don’t have jobs. During the day I help my mother and wash the dishes. I go to bed early, nearly 8 PM, to get up early in the morning. Today my teacher took the math exam and said: ‘if anyone scores under 10, I will not allow you to come to school.’ The questions were easy and I solved all of them. When I was coming back home, I saw a wild dog following me. I was so afraid and tried to walk faster. Hopefully, a man saw me and helped me. He told me after this not to come to school alone; there are lots of these wild dogs and they may bite you so be careful with them. Since I came to the KUDAC Organization, I learned many new things. I want to be a successful pilot for my society in the future.
